Procedure 1. Click Mobility management. 2. Click Parameters. 3. Select No in the Display full infolog on error field. 4. By default, inactive sessions time out after a defined time. You can decide that inactive sessions never time out. Select No in the Enable session timeout field. Note: Only if session timeout is enabled, you can run the Delete expired sessions job. 5. If the Enable session timeout field is set to Yes, define the time after which the session times out. In the Session timeout field, enter a time. Note: This is used as the default value for the Delete expired sessions job. 6. Define the transaction threshold. Transactions that last longer than the defined number of seconds count as slow. In the Transaction threshold field, enter a number. Note: This is only applicable if transaction logging is set to 'Slow logging'. 7. In the Transaction logging field, select an option. 8. Select Yes in the Log actions field. 9. Select Yes in the Log queries field. 10. In Anywhere mobility studio, you can add an option to your application design to attach a note to a record in D365 FO. To attach notes, Document management is used. Define the document type for the notes that you want to attach to records in D365 FO. In the Document type for notes field, enter or select a value. Note: - You can only use document types of the Note group. - For more information on how to set up the note option in your application design, refer to the "TI Training Material Development Guide Anywhere Mobility Studio for D365FOee" document. 11. In Anywhere mobility studio, you can add an option to your application design to attach a video or image to a record in D365 FO. To attach videos or images, Document management is used. Define the document type for the videos or images that you want to attach to records in D365 FO. In the Document type for images and videos field, enter or select a value. Note: - You can only use document types of the Image group. - For more information on how to set up the video or image option in your application design, refer to the "TI Training Material Development Guide Anywhere Mobility Studio for D365FOee" document. 12. Define the app run time mode: - Configuration: The app runs on the real-time configuration in Anywhere mobility studio. This can be slow in a Tier 2 environment. - Cache: The app runs from a cached configuration. This is faster in a Tier 2 environment, but the app can be outdated. In the Run time mode field, select an option. Note: This parameter run time mode setting is only applicable if for a user the run time mode is 'Get from parameter'. 13. You can run an app from cache. For the cache to work optimally, you must set the cache limit to the required number of records. You can calculate the required cache size after you have published a menu or process to cache. The calculation gets the number of records that are created in the cache on publishing. This number is stored in the Record cache elements for Framework table group field. You can use this number to set the cache limit. To set the cache limit, go to System administration > Setup > Server configuration. In the Settings for all AOS instances section, enter the cache limit in the Record cache elements for Framework table group. Click Cache calculator. Note: The menus and processes that you publish may change. As a result, a different cache limit may be required. Therefore, check regularly whether the cache limit is still optimal. 14. Click OK. 15. Close the page. Set document template parameters Set document template parameters You can define document templates for several types of documents to be generated from Anywhere mobility studio. You can set a default document template for these types of documents:DefaultTechnical designFunctional designTest caseThe type of information and detail level, that you can add to a document, depend on the template type. Set up label translations

In Anywhere mobility studio, you can translate labels with Google Translate or Microsoft Translate. To these translation services, you must register for it and get an API key from the translation service provider.

Set up map API

Set up map API

In Anywhere mobility studio, you can embed Google Maps in your applications with the Maps Embed API. To use this API, you must register for it, get an API key from Google, and enter this key in the Anywhere mobility studio parameters.

In your applications, you can use these predefined actions to embed Google Maps:

  • Search Map: Use this action to show a location on a map. For example, the location of a machine on a map.
  • Direction Map: Use this action to show a route between a starting point and a destination on a map.
  • Add waypoint: Use this action to add waypoints between the starting point and destination of a direction map.
To use:
  • The search map or direction map, create a form with a Literal HTML control to position the map on the form. Add the 'Search Map' or 'Direction Map' action to the OnLoad form event. You can add fields to the form that are related to the action parameters.
  • Waypoints, create a form with at least a field to enter the waypoint and a button to confirm it. Add the 'Add waypoint' action to the button event control. You can only use the 'Add waypoint' action in combination with the 'Direction Map' action. To do so, also add a button to the 'direction map' form to open the 'add waypoint' form.
For each action, you can set and use several parameters. For example, the 'Direction Map' action has parameters to set the default map type, the selection of way points, the travel mode, and whether to avoid highways, tolls, or ferries. For more information on the parameters, also refer to the Map Embed API developer guide.

Set number sequences Set number sequences Before you can use Anywhere mobility studio, set up the related number sequences.Define the number sequences that are used for:Applications (Application instance)Forms (Form instance)Controls (Control instance)Sessions on mobile devices (Application session)Test casesTest runsTest suitesTest plansFor more information on number sequences and how to generate number sequences, refer to Number sequences. Procedure 1. Click Mobility management. 2. Click Parameters. 3. Click the Number sequences tab. 4. Sub-task: Initialize area and references. 5. Click Load number sequences. 6. Sub-task: Generate number sequences. 7. Go to Organization administration > Number sequences > Number sequences. 8. Click Generate. 9. Sub-task: Reformat number sequences. 10. Go to Default dashboard. 11. Click Mobility management. 12. Click Parameters. 13. Click the Number sequences tab. 14. After generation, you must reformat the number sequences. In number sequences, in segments of type Constant, several characters can be used, like dash (-), question mark (?), and slash (/). In Mobility studio, in communication with the portal, these characters give errors. To avoid errors, reformat the number sequences. As a result, these characters are replaced by an underscore (_). Click Reformat number sequences. Note: You can manually change the automatically filled Anywhere mobility studio number sequences. 15. Close the page. Manage automatic updates
